Along with their leaders who have a long history as professional pranksters, this group is capable of performing incredible feats when necessary. Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: An incredibly talented honors student, a shallow mean girl with her own Girl Posse, a weird kid with an unlucky streak, a free-spirited hippie, a hulking loner, and a sweaty farmboy who literally grows his own produce.La Résistance: They take on this role whenever they're fighting against Krupp and/or Melvin's totalitarian schemes.Multinational Team: There's the biracial (her mother is African American and her father is Chinese) Erica Wang, the African-American Jessica Gordon, the Japanese Gooch, the caucasian Dressy Killman, Other Sophie, and Stanley Peet, and the Ambiguously Brown Bo Hweemuth and Sophie 1.The only exceptions involve swimwear or winter gear.
Limited Wardrobe: Thanks to the show's low budget, you won't be seeing them in new outfits anytime soon.Jerkass Ball: In "The Bizarre Blitzkrieg of the Bothersome Butt-erflies", Jessica and a majority of the group throw out George and Harold from the safety of the cafeteria to be devoured by the invading Butt-erflies.Idiot Ball: In "The Frantic Furies of the Fearsome Furculees", the kids end up losing Other Sophie in Ecuador and taking a ground sloth home with them instead, mistaking it for the former.Designated Victim: Erica excluded, the children often find themselves being brainwashed or captured by a given Monster of the Week.Color-Coded Characters: Each of the kids have their own main color to stand out amongst each other.Canon Foreigner: Except for Jessica Gordon who was briefly shown in Book 6 with an alternate design, all of the kids were created for the Netflix series.Badass Adorable: They're all adorable one way or the other and can do some pretty big things together.Ambiguous Situation: Given how they casually interact with Captain Underpants and are unfazed whenever he transforms back into Krupp, it's unclear if they are aware of the connection between the two.
